1. Jenner Found Tejada On Instagram
According to Daily Mail, Jenner sought Tejada out via Instagram in hopes of having him work with her. Ariel Tejada, who is only one year older than Jenner, was sent a message by her and he ended up flying 4,000 miles to meet her. Tejada recalled:
Kylie direct messaged me herself on Instagram and told me, “Next time you’re in town [Los Angeles], let’s work together.” I told her, I’ll be there in a week, let’s do it.
Tejada told Allure:
I was traveling when I saw the message, and [I didn’t reply until] 14 minutes later, so I was like, This is late! I’m not going to get a reply back! I messaged her back, ‘I’m available whenever. I’ll fly out tomorrow if I have to,’ and sent her my cell number. She didn’t reply for three days. My anxiety was next-level. When she finally texted me, I told her I’d be in L.A. in the next week. Mind you, I had’t bought my flight. So I booked a trip to L.A. and waited for her to get back to me.

Mario has always been a massive inspiration to myself and to many of us and I learned a lot from him. Whether you’re a makeup Artist trying to break into the industry, a professional freelancer, or simply someone who loves Makeup, I encourage you to attend at least one of Mario’s masterclasses. with Mario you’ll not only learn about the products he uses, but you get to visually experience his makeup application and techniques in person. I’ve attended one of his classes before and I learned things that I was able to adapt to my technique as an artist. His Classes are truly an experience you don’t want to miss out on!

Mario has created my signature glam look and my love for makeup is inspired by him! Mario has taught me every makeup trick I know and use until this day!
4. Jenner Doesn’t Let Tejada Do Her Lips
So, Tejada is responsible for Jenner’s entire look … except for her part of her lips, which he says that she likes to line herself. Tejada explained to Allure:
I don’t really line Kylie’s lips—that’s one of her own touches. She lines her own lips, and we use many different lip liners to do that. Some days we use a more pink tone and some days we use a more brown tone. We only use lip liner; she uses liner as her lipstick. She does her lips pretty fast. I would say it takes her two minutes, and that’s pushing it.
When Jenner first began getting lip injections, it took her a while to admit it on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Once she did, her lips became iconic and the size of her fandom exploded.
5. Tejada Says that Working With Jenner Is a Team Effort
In an interview with Allure, Tejada gushed on working with Jenner and why he enjoys it. Tejada said:
I always tell her, ‘I love working with you because we’re a team.’ When I do Kylie’s makeup, she has her own input. She’s a very secure person. That helps me as an artist, because when I finish the makeup, and she’s added her touches, and I’ve added my signature stamp on the look, it becomes this explosion of the two of us mixed together.
