On August 26, 2017, boxer Floyd Mayweather will fight Conor McGregor in a highly anticipated match, but it looks like Mayweather is all ready in a fight.

Justin Bieber and Mayweather have been public with their friendship, so when Bieber unfollowed Mayweather on Instagram, of course it became news. In addition, Bieber reportedly told a TMZ photographer that he didn’t think Mayweather would knock out McGregor in the upcoming fight. And, Yahoo is reporting that Mayweather has been extremely upset about Bieber’s actions and even called Bieber a “traitor”.

But what made Bieber unfollow his longtime friend on Instagram? According to TMZ, Bieber has been trying to reaffirm his relationship with God lately and has been spending a lot of time with Hillsong Church pastor Carl Lentz. The church has reportedly advised Bieber to pull back from people in his life who he feels have been bad influences, though they did not single out Mayweather. And, though Bieber unfollowed him online, he supposedly wasn’t trying to completely cut off his friend. TMZ reported that Bieber wanted to distance himself from things like Mayweather’s strip club escapades.

So, what makes Mayweather such a “bad influence” on The Biebs? According to The Boston Globe, Mayweather has been convicted on five separate charges of violence against women. One of his convictions was in an attack on his longtime girlfriend at the time, Josie Harris, the mother of three of his children. Mayweather has four children total.
