In Season 3 Episode 2 of Rick and Morty, even the wind kept telling Jerry that he was a loser. The wind would sometimes swirl up and stir around him, quietly whispering: “Looooooser.” Now fans are divided about whether or not Jerry is a loser. That was a great comedic moment and fans are really hoping it picks up in future episodes.

When the world completely falls apart and turns post-apocalyptic, Jerry really springs into action and becomes a true badass. (Remember Cronenberg World Jerry?) And when that happens, his marriage to Beth seems to be just fine.
But unless the world is falling apart, Jerry is struggling. He can’t get a job. He stays in a daycare while Rick and Morty go on adventures. His own daughter, Summer, ends up in her own marriage that seems to strangely mirror her parents’.
And when he encounters a dog at the mailbox, he just hands over his unemployment check to the snarling creature:
The only other time Jerry flourished was when the Galactic Federation took over Earth and he was a glorified cog in a wheel. He had no idea what his job was, but he loved being told what to do and just earning pills.
Do you think Jerry’s a loser? Some fans think he’s misunderstood, and some fans can really relate to his struggles. Even Summer seemed to develop some compassion for him after her own marriage troubles.
