When Jersey Shore viewers met JWoww’s husband on the show, he was introduced as an ex-boyfriend of hers, but recently, JWoww’s man Roger Mathews revealed that he was actually never her ex. Mathews posted the following message on Instagram, saying:
Little known Jersey Shore trivia fact. I was never Jenni’s ex. She just said that, but I was always her future. Seven years together this July. #WeInTheRunningForSomeSortOfRecord?
Currently, the couple live together in New Jersey and are raising a son and daughter. They also have their own webseries titled Jenni & Roger Domesticated on Awestruck. The show follows their parenting and navigating life together.
When previously talking about her husband on Entertainment Tonight, JWoww described him as this:
He’s my best friend. He’s the only person in this world that puts me in my place, so I actually respect him even more for that, and I love him for that because he can call me out on my B.S.
Though they’ve shown they have a lot of love for each other, JWoww and Mathews have had several problems in their relationship over the years. One issue has been sex. Mathews has said many times that he always wants to have sex, but JWoww said she wanted more intimacy. Mathews also said he has a problem with JWoww always taking on projects that put the two of them in the spotlight and he feels she can be fake. This was all said when the couple decided to appear on Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars and Mathews almost left the show because he felt that JWoww wasn’t really opening up.
Fortunately, they appear to have worked through their issues. The couple got married in 2015 and they have two kids – daughter Meilani Alexandra and son Greyson Valor.
