Tonight’s the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, honoring the best music videos of the past year. Katy Perry, who was nominated for five awards, is hosting the show, which kicks off at 8 p.m. ET from The Forum in Inglewood, California.

The top nominee for the night is rapper Kendrick Lamar and Pink will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Performers include Miley Cyrus, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Lamar, Fifth Harmony & Gucci Mane, The Weeknd, Alessia Cara and Pink. Perry will perform “Swish Swish” with Nicki Minaj.

This year’s awards follow in the footsteps of the 2017 MTV Movie Awards, which got rid of the gender-based awards. So instead of “Best Male Artist” and “Best Female Artist,” there will only be “Best Artist.” MTV is also introducing the Best Fight Against the System award, which replaces the Best Video with a Social Message Award.
