The VMAs are just around the corner, and everyone’s wondering how to get their votes in. Unfortunately, voting is only open in one category: Best New Artist.
This year, the VMAs will take place at The Forum in Inglewood, California, and will be hosted by Katy Perry. An A-list lineup of celebrity performers will be taking the stage tonight, including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony, Lorde, The Weeknd, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Shawn Mendes, and Pink.
The nominees for the 2017 VMAs were revealed on July 25, 2017.

The annual MTV Video Music Awards honor the top songs and videos of the year, as well as the talented artists behind them. This year, gendered categories have been removed from the show– so Best Female and Best Male awards have become the Artist of the Year.
