On Real Housewives of New Jersey, Joe Gorga stirs up some issues with his wife when he buys a restaurant without discussing it with her. But, soon, wife Melissa agreed to support her husband in his project. The restaurant is open and is titled Gorga’s Home Made Pasta and Pizza. It’s location is 360 Route 10 West, East Hanover, NJ 07936 and the menu is listed on a website called Door Dash. Part of the reason that Gorga wanted to open the restaurant was to make his father happy. The family has been grieving for months over the loss of Gorga’s mother, who Gorga and sister Teresa Giudice’s children referred to as “Nonna.” In order to honor their mother and the importance of family, many of the dishes on the menu are recipes from, or dedicated to, family members. These menu items include Audriana’s Rock Shrimp Arrabbiata, Nonna’s Meatballs, Papa’s Baked Mussels, Mamma’s Old School Polenta, Melissa’s Harvest Salad, Joey’s Chopped Salad, Nonna’s Sunday Sauce, Papa’s Spaghetti, Gino’s Pork Chop, Milania’s Pesce Del Giorno, Gino’s Chicken Merengo, Gabriella’s Chicken Parmesan, Nonno’s Chicken Limone, Gia’s Chicken Milanese, Joe’s Bistecca, Antonia’s Chicken Francese, and Little Joey’s Chicken Piccata.

Teresa Giudice’s daughters are Gia, Audriana, Milania and Gabriella, while Joe and Melissa Gorga’s children are Gino, Joey and Antonia. So, all of their offspring are included on the menu. Antonia is also the name of Teresa and Joe’s late mother. And, according to People, the restaurant opened in May 2017. At the opening of the restaurant, Gorga told People, “My mother loved to cook; it was like her drug. I always told her I was gonna open up a restaurant for her. Then I got busy. While I signed a contract on this place we lost her. So this is for her.” Giudice then added, “We wanted to share her recipes with the world. I always would say, ‘Mom, everyone has to try your food!’ because that’s how I learned to cook.” In addition to their mother’s recipes being featured on the restaurant’s menu, some of Giudice’s dishes from her cookbook “Fabulicious” are also included.

The restaurant also sells its own sauce, but, according to the official website, they are currently out of stock. And, in addition to sauce, Gorga’s has their own pasta “coming soon”. The Gorga’s website lists the following mission in their “About Us” section, writing that, “At Gorga’s Homemade Pasta & Pizza, guests will feel right at home with the Gorga family. We celebrate our bond and heritage by bringing the authentic Italian recipes handed down from generation to generation in our family to yours. Fresh pasta and sauce is at the heart of our menu. Our offerings include a make your own personal pasta option, delicious pan pizzas, paninis, and Italian favorites such as Nonna’s Meatballs and Gabriella’s Chicken Parmesan.” The restaurant also has its own Instagram account.
