‘The Walking Dead’ on Netflix: Can You Watch Season 8 on Netflix?

Season 8 of The Walking Dead premiered October 22, on AMC. But for people who don’t have cable and are primarily interested in watching the series on Netflix, will it be available? Unfortunately, no. The Walking Dead Season 8 is not available on Netflix, in the US or the UK, and won’t be released on Netflix until the season is over. U.S. viewers can see The Walking Dead on AMC every Sunday night that it’s airing at 9 p.m. Eastern. They can also stream it on AMC’s apps or on Sling. Viewers in the UK can watch it on FOX (or on NOW TV with a 14-day free trial) the day after each episode premieres in the U.S.

But Netflix isn’t an option for anyone right now. They can watch all of Season 7 of The Walking Dead on Netflix, along with previous seasons, but Season 8 won’t be released on Netflix any time soon. This is because the show’s seventh season didn’t even arrive on Netflix until early September, about a month ago. So it might be as long as nearly a year after the season premieres before Season 8 joins The Walking Dead Netflix lineup.

If you really don’t want to use AMC or Sling, you can also sign up for a subscription to Season 8 on Amazon. The episodes won’t be live streamed, but if you pre-order Season 8 of The Walking Dead on Amazon video, you’ll automatically receive each episode the day after it broadcasts. That means you’ll get the premiere of each episode the day after it airs if you’re using Amazon Video.
