Lil Peep, the 21-year-old rapper who was an emerging talent, died November 15 in Tucson, Arizona. First Access Entertainment CEO Sarah Stennett confirmed his death in a statement, saying she spoke to Lil Peep’s mother, who said she’s “very, very proud of him and everything he was able to achieve in his short life,” The New York Times reported.
The Tuscon Police Department said the Lil Peep, whose real name is Gustav Ahr, was pronounced dead on his tour bus at around 9 p.m. He was scheduled to perform at a show in the Tuscon area. An official cause of death hasn’t been determined yet, but investigators found evidence that suggests he died of an overdose of Xanax.
On his Instagram account, Lil Peep posted various things about taking pills such as the anti-anxiety medication and percocet. In a video post November 14, he said: “El Paso, I took six Xanax and I was lit. I’m good, I’m not sick. Imma see ya’ll tonight.”

She reportedly gets tattooed by an artist named Romeo Lacoste of California Dream Tattoo and has the number “13” inked in black and red inside of a heart and crossbones on her left forearm.
