Spoiler review: This was a really cute movie, light and refreshing. Melanie and Donovan didn’t quite have the level of chemistry that I’ve seen in other movies, like Maggie’s Christmas Miracle or Mistletoe Inn, but they were still fun to watch. Melanie helped Donovan get out of his shell and find joy in Christmas again, and her advice helped him reconnect with his dad. By the time the truth was revealed, he already figured out her identity. I enjoyed the misdirection when Donovan thought someone else was his Secret Santa. They didn’t drag it out for it was just long enough to create a little extra tension.
