Nene Leakes and her husband Gregg return to Real Housewives of Atlanta. Over the years, her sons Brentt and Bryson Bryant have been seen on the show and recently, older son Bryson has been getting in trouble with the law. Over the years, Bryson has battled with drugs, a DUI, fraud and other issues, according to Radar Online. Just a few weeks ago, Bryson was snapped while surrounded by drug paraphernalia and a source told Radar that Bryson was snorting cocaine. Just a year ago, Bryson’s stepbrother, Damian Leakes, told Radar Online that Bryson was trying to be good, explaining, “People make mistakes sometimes and it might take a little longer than some to get back on track.” And, when Bryson became a father to young baby Bri’asia, Damian said he really started to turn his life around. Unfortunately, maybe he has slipped up again.
Bryson has had several legal issues and arrests over the years. In 2015, Daily Mail reported that he was arrested at a McDonald’s in a counterfeit check bust. He was actually taken in on allegedly giving police on the scene a fake name. Earlier in the year, Bryson reportedly violated probation and tested positive for drugs. In 2013, Bryson was charged with reckless driving and a DUI, which later resulted in a year of probation. As a result of his “reckless driving”, Bryson totaled his Dodge Charger when he crashed it into two utility poles at 4:13 a.m. In 2011, Bryson allegedly shoplifted some razors from a Walmart as well, according to TMZ. As for Nene Leakes’ other son Brentt, viewers saw him trying to deal with his parents’ break up when Leakes and her husband split in 2010. Recently, however, he was awarded a car by his mother for his 18th birthday and he graduated high school, as reported by Bravo. Last year, Brentt was helping his mother out when she was on tour by selling her merchandise, but TMZ reports one of their customers robbed him. TMZ stated that when a customer was denied a refund, he took off with Brentt’s backpack, which contained his laptop and wallet, among other possessions. The robbery occurred at the “So Nasty, So Rude” comedy show at the Promontory in Chicago, Illinois.
While Brentt is Leakes’ son with husband Gregg, Bryson is from a previous relationship. Wetpaint reports Leakes revealing that when she had Bryson in her 20’s, she was abused by his father both physically and emotionally. Leakes talked about her relationship with Bryson’s dad to Giuliana Rancic on E!, saying that, “The first person to really say ‘I love you’ a lot became my abuser. He hit me and then later on he would say ‘I love you’ and I thought that this must be what love is.” Leakes claimed that it was when Bryson’s father put a gun to her head for hanging out with friends that she decided she needed to make a change. After she left Bryson’s dad, she went on to become a stripper and was even able to put Bryson in private school. It was actually at a strip club that Leakes met her husband Gregg.
