Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Live Stream 2017: How to Watch Christmas Show Online

Tonight is the 2017 annual tree lighting in Rockefeller Center, beginning at 7 p.m. ET/PT on the NBC network. Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker were all set to host tonight’s event, according to NBC. However, this morning, Kotb and Guthrie announced that Lauer had been fired over inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace. The announcement came at the top of the Today Show this morning and the show hosts were clearly shaken by the news. As a result, Lauer will absolutely not be present at the Christmas in Rockefeller Center show. In an official statement released by executive Andy Lack, it said, “On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer. It represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment. While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”

Tonight’s performers include Brett Eldredge, Jennifer Nettles, Leslie Odom Jr., Pentatonix, Gwen Stefani and The Tenors. If you don’t have cable or can’t get to a TV, you can watch NBC online, on your phone or on another streaming device like an Amazon Fire TV or Roku via one of the following over-the-top, cable-free, live-TV streaming services.
