‘The Walking Dead’ Live Stream: How to Watch Season 8 Episode 6 Online for Free

AMC

Tonight is the premiere of Season 8 Episode 6 of The Walking Dead. Some fans are saying the show has been a bit slower this season, but that’s tough to imagine considering some of the scenes we’ve seen (I’m still sad about Shiva, by the way.) Last week’s episode, however, was one of the best of the season so far. Seeing what happened between Negan and Gabriel, and then seeing that surprise twist with Gabriel at the end, kept viewers engaged and interested throughout the extra-long episode.  If you don’t want to be spoiled for tonight’s episode, then you may want to watch the show live, starting at 9 p.m. Eastern on AMC. The episode is an extra four minutes long tonight. If you’d like to watch the premiere as it airs and you need to watch it on your computer, phone, or tablet, read on for instructions below.

If you don’t have cable or can’t get to a TV, you can watch AMC online, on your phone or on another streaming device by signing up for one of the following cable-free, live-TV streaming services. They cost a monthly fee but all come with a free trial, so you can watch tonight’s show for free:

DirecTV Now: AMC is included in all four of DirecTV Now’s base channel packages, which range from $35 to $70 per month. It comes with a free 7-day trial no matter what package you choose, and you can watch on your computer via your browser, or on your phone, tablet or streaming device via the DirecTV Now app

Sling TV: AMC is included in both the “Sling Orange” and “Sling Blue” channel packages, which costs $20 or $25 per month, respectively. It comes with a free 7-day trial, and you can watch on your computer via your browser, or on your phone, tablet or streaming device via the Sling TV app

PlayStation Vue: AMC is included in all four channel packages, ranging from $40 to $75 per month. It comes with a free 5-day trial, and you can watch on your computer via your browser, or on your phone, tablet or streaming device via the PlayStation Vue app

Meanwhile, if you have a cable subscription that includes AMC, you can also watch live at this link. You’ll have to sign in to watch the full episodes as they air. First you have to choose your cable provider, then you’ll be asked to do an in-home validation. For some, the validation will sign you in automatically if it detects your network. Others may need to create an account and use their cable username and password to complete the process.

If you miss streaming it live on AMC’s website, your opportunity isn’t over. Full videos of each episode are typically available the day after the show airs, for a limited time, for people with a cable subscription. You can go directly to the episodes here.

And finally, if you don’t mind watching the episode tomorrow after it airs, you have some options for that too. The episode will be available the day after it airs in a variety of formats. (Sometimes, the episode is released earlier than this.) You can find the episode On Demand or on AMC.com here. If you don’t have a cable subscription, you can still watch the episode by purchasing it on iTunesAmazonGoogle Play, and Xbox. On Amazon, viewers who pre-order Season 8 of The Walking Dead will receive the episodes the day after they broadcast.

On mobile, you can watch the episode via a number of AMC apps on iOS, Android, and Windows. These apps require a cable login to watch anything but a show premiere.
