Veterans Day 2017 is here. Although the holiday officially falls on Saturday, November 10, it will be celebrated as a federal holiday on Friday, November 10.

This year, businesses are offering a number of freebies, deals, and discounts to veterans to thank them for their service. Read on for more details.

BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse: BJS is offering a free entree for under $12.95 on Friday November 10 Saturday November 11. According to the BJS website, military personnel can also reserve a handcrafted BJS beer or soda through the company’s Buy a Hero a Beer Program. Must present military ID. Not valid towards alcoholic beverages, and not valid for take-out or delivery.

Boston Market: Veterans and active duty military personnel can buy one individual meal and get the second one free Friday through Sunday at participating locations only. Military ID is not required for this deal, but you’ll need to get a coupon from To do that, simply click here, and scroll down pas the Thanksgiving Day promotion to the “Celebrate Veterans Day” box and click “Get Coupon”.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Buffalo Wild Wings is offering a complimentary order of wings and a side of fries to veterans and active-duty military.

California Pizza Kitchen:  California Pizza Kitchen is offering a free entree to all veterans and active duty military. Specifically, you can choose a complimentary pizza, pasta, or salad from the special California Pizza Kitchen Veterans Day menu which can be accessed here.

Denny’s: 5am to noon on Friday, active, inactive, and retired military personnel can get a free “Build Your Own Grand Slam” at participating Denny’s locations. For more details, click here. 

Friendly’s: Friendly’s is offering a free meal from a special menu at participating locations.

Hooters: Hooters if offering a free meal from a special menu. Must present a military ID or proof of service to any Hooters nationwide. Click here for more details on the menu.

IHOP: On Friday, veterans can get a free stack of Red, White, and Blue Pancakes. Proof of service necessary.

Outback Steakhouse: Outback Steakhouse is offering military personnel a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage with their order, only on Saturday November 11. Military members will also receive 20% off their check from November 12-16. To check participating locations, click here.

Red Lobster: Red Lobster will be offering a free appetizer or dessert to veterans, active-military duty, and reservists with a valid military ID on Saturday, November 11. Appetizers include sweet chili shrimp, mozzarella cheese sticks, parrot isle jumbo coconut shrimp, seafood-stuffed mushrooms, lobster and Langostino pizza, and signature shrimp cocktail. The desserts include vanilla bean cheesecake, key lime pie, warm apple crostada, chocolate wave, and brownie overboard.
