Who Died on ‘The Walking Dead’ Midseason Finale Tonight?

AMC

Tonight is the midseason finale of The Walking Dead Season 8. More than likely, we’ll see some characters die. In fact, AMC has been strongly hinting that tonight’s episode could be really tough for fans and we might end up losing a beloved character. In this show’s universe, it’s hard to get through an episode without someone dying. Some of the characters were worried about include Eugene, since he’s embedded with Negan still, and Dwight who turned turncoat. But other characters could be at risk too, including Michonne, Daryl, Rosita, Maggie, Judith, Morgan, and Gabriel. We’re fairly certain that Rick is going to be OK, aren’t you?

We will update this post live as the Season 8 midseason finale of The Walking Dead airs, letting you know who died during the episode. So keep refreshing this page for the latest details. MAJOR SPOILERS below.

Before the intro, no one died in the opening scenes. Carol got Rick away from the Scavengers once he realized things weren’t going according to plan. It remains to be seen who will die tonight, if anyone.

After the first commercial break, there is one death count so far. Enid mistakenly killed the leader of Oceanside when she was facing off against Aaron. The woman’s granddaughter is crying. “Grandma. Grandma.”

About 30 minutes into the episode, it looks like Jerry might die. He was captured in a car wreck and is being held at gunpoint by the Saviors. The Saviors have taken over everything, so anyone could be gone by the time this episode ends.

Around 45 minutes into the episode, Simon killed someone in front of Maggie and we all thought for a second that it was Jerry. But it wasn’t. He killed Neal, who was sitting in the backseat of Maggie’s car.

An hour in, and no one else has been killed yet. Dwight was shot in the arm, however.

We’re now an hour 15 minutes into the episode, and no one else has died yet except one of the Saviors that Maggie had prisoner at the Hilltop. She killed the prisoner as payback for the Saviors’ killing Neal.

But at the end of the episode, we got a huge shock.

Carl was bitten.

Carl is going to die. At least, that was the major implication at the end of the show.
