‘Elseworlds’ Cast Spoilers: Arrowverse Crossover Starts with ‘The Flash’

Ruby Rose will be playing Kate Kane/Batwoman in the Elseworlds crossover. She's not mentioned on IMDB until Episode 3, but it's not clear if she'll be showing up before then. This is going to be our first introduction to Batwoman, so fans are really excited. We'll also be introduced to Nora Fries and Psycho-Pirate, Syfy notes.

Ruby Rose, born in 1986, is an Australian model, DJ, boxer, and recording artist, according to her IMDB profile. She's going to star in her own Batwoman series starting in 2019. She has previously appeared on The Meg as Jaxx, Tourism Australia, Pitch Perfect 3 as Calamity, John Wick: Chapter 2 as Ares, xXx as Adele Wolff, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter as Abigail, Orange is the New Black as Stella Carlin in nine episodes from 2015-2016, Sheep & Wolves, Dark Matter as Wendy the Android, ARound the Block, Mrs. & Mrs. Murder, and the short Boys Like You.

Danielle Panabaker, who is in the crossover, told Syfy: "What's fun about the crossover this year is I feel like it was a lot like the first year... There weren't as many people. Carlos [Valdes], Grant and I crossed over, but there weren't as many people from other shows. Obviously, we're still getting Melissa [Benoist], but it was a much smaller group this year."

The cast list on IMDB for the first episode includes Grant Gustin (Barry Allen), Candice Patton (Iris West-Allen), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow), Carlos Valdes (Cisco), Hartley Sawyer (Ralph), Danielle Nicolet (Cecille), Tom Cavanaugh (Sharloque) and Jesse L. Martin (Joe). But the inclusion of Martin might indicate this list isn't completely accurate, since Martin hasn't appeared in recent episodes of The Flash due to a back injury. Stephen Arnell as Oliver Queen, Melissa Benoist as Kara, LaMonica Garrett as The Monitor, Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen, Sean Kohnke as Bratva Leader, and Paul Lazenby as a Tech Thief are also on the cast list.

About Elseworlds: The crossover event beings with The Flash airing tonight instead of Supergirl on The CW (Sunday, December 9) at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central. The next episode in the crossover will be Arrow, which will air on Monday night, December 10, at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central. A new episode of Legends of Tomorrow will then air at 9 p.m. Eastern, but it won’t be connected to the crossover event.

The final Elseworlds episode will then air with Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11 at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central. A midseason finale of Black Lightning will air after that, also not connected to the crossover event.

Each episode of Elseworlds will have a different tone that matches the show "sponsoring" the episode. In these episodes, Oliver Queen/Green Arrow will switch identities with Barry Allen/The Flash, as a result of Dr. John Deegan (played by Jeremy Davies) manipulating reality. While they’re playing each other’s roles, they’ll also cross paths with Supergirl, Batwoman (being introduced in the Arrowverse for the first time), Superman, and The Monitor, whom we saw in the teaser, Comicbook.com reported.

The basic plot of the crossover event, according to Syfy, is that a godlike character called Monitor gives Dr. John Deegan the ability to reshape reality. Barry and Oliver, as a result, swap identities. They must recruit Supergirl to help them get things back in order before irreversible damage is done. Oliver and Barry are aware they're in the wrong bodies, so it makes everything that much more fun to watch. Click through the gallery to see more photos, news about the cast, and spoilers.
