Before you take your beautiful rides out onto the blacktop, make sure you know everything about the Xbox One/Xbox 360 exclsuive, Forza Horizon 2.
1. Forza Horizon 2 Takes Place in Southern Europe This Time Around
Forza Horizon 2 is moving out of the States and heading across the pond this time around. The fictional “Horizon Festival” will be held in southern Europe, which will place players in two separate locales – southern France and northern Italy. Most of the game’s racing events will take place in Provence, Tuscany, Côte d’Azur and several other regions. The developers of Forza Horizon 2 have already told gamers that the game world will be approximately three times larger than the space available in the 1st game.
2. A Dynamic Weather System is Being Added
The devs behind this current-gen racer are taking advantage of the power of the Xbox One. One way they’re doing this is by adding a dynamic weather system, which will play a huge factor in how players will approach driving in several events. Many of the game’s events will be held at day or night as well. The graphics engine of this racer is that it will run at 1080p and stay locked in at 30 FPS (frames per second).
3. One of the Game’s Newest Features is the “Bucket List”
Forza Horizon 2’s “Bucket List” feature that will provide a great amount of challenges for solo players. Similar to how the “1000 Club” was implemented in the 1st game, the “Bucket List” mode will provide players with a list of challenges to compete in in France and Italy. Over time, new challenges will continuously be added to the game across various regions of the map.
4. Car Meets is Another One of the Debuting Modes in the Game
The “Car Meets” mode is the perfect mode for online multiplayer-minded players. It’s quite similiar in scope to how the “Forzavista” mode was implemented in Forza Motorsport 5. Players can meet up online and show off their rides with each other. Players will also be able to interact with each other’s cars by sharing liveries (car paint designs) and car tuning setups.
5. More Than 200 Cars Will Be Playable
Turn 10 Studios has revealed that over 200 cars will featured in the massive open-world of Forza Horizon 2. Some of the car types that will be available are exotic rides, rally cars, trucks, hot hatches etc. Some of the rides that have been confirmed so far includes the Audi S4, Subaru Impreza WRX, Ford Raptor, Nissan Skyline (R34), Alfa Romeo 8C etc. IGN has listed each and every car that’s being included in the game.
