If you’re having trouble downloading and installing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, you’re not alone! Many Xbox One users (and Xbox 360 users) are reporting issues with installing the Day Zero edition of the game this morning.
Many users on Reddit and the official forums are complaining that their installation freezes after reaching just 1 or 2 percent. According to an official post via the Xbox Live status page, the Xbox team has fixed the problem. The statement reads:
“We’ve received reports that some users are having issues getting their pre-ordered copy of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. We’re happy to say that our team has fixed the problem, but if you are still experiencing any issues, delete the game and re-download it. Thanks for your patience while we got this issue worked out. Have fun!”
As you can see above, Microsoft is suggesting that players actually delete the 46GB game and re-download it. So, if you’re one of the unfortunate many that are still having issues, it looks like you’re going to be in for a long day.
I guess when Activision named it the Day Zero edition, the company meant zero players will be able to play. See what I did there?
