Supernova, a Sci-FI MOBA, Announced by Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco plans to join the MOBA video game space with Supernova, a game that adds real-time strategy elements to the saturated MOBA market and promises an exciting science fiction setting.

The game, developed by Primal Game Studio, will see players battle as humans or aliens for their respective race’s right to exist. Players have a wide variety of champions commanders to control, including giant robots, cyborgs and interstellar races. In Supernova, players will be able to upgrade their lane minions as well as their characters, which is a slight twist from other MOBA games.

Other than that, though, it looks like your standard MOBA, just with a sci-fi setting. I’d be curious to see whether or not Supernova will be able to carve out its own space in the MOBA market. And yes, Supernova will also be free to play, and will launch for PC only later this year with an Alpha launching today. Gamers can head over to supernovagame.com to sign-up for the Alpha.
