‘Destiny’: Where is Xur Located? August 26-28

Destiny-Xur

(Bungie)

The mysterious Xur has appeared once more and his selection this week is absolutely stellar. This weekend Xur can be found on the left-hand side of The Tower directly across from where The Speaker’s Quarters are located. He will be standing in front of a massive metal door and probably surrounded by several Guardians throwing Strange Coins at him.

This week’s selection includes the Empyrean Bellicose, Graviton Forfeit, Nothing Manacles , Universal Remote, and a Legacy Chest Engram. He is also selling the usual supply of Glass Needles, boosters for your Sparrow, Three of Coins, and Motes of Light. However, his selection this week is clearly focused around the PvP side of Destiny, as these are some fantastic items up for sale. Here is our breakdown of each item you can purchase this weekend.

Empyrean Bellicose:

  • Roll: Intellect/Discipline
  • Armor: Helmet
  • Cost: 13 Strange Coins
  • Unique Perk: Aiming down the sites while in the air will allow you to hover for a brief period.

This is a hit or miss exotic that is really only useful for when the “Airborn” modifier is active during Nightfalls or Prison of the Elders. While it can be useful in PvP for catching others off guard, you are better off using some of the other Titan specific exotics.

Graviton Forfeit:

  • Roll: Intellect/Strength
  • Armor: Helmet
  • Cost: 13 Strange Coins
  • Unique Perk: Using this exotic will grant Hunters the ability to use the Shadestep Perk in the Nightstalker subclass.

One of the best PvP exotics available for Hunters as it frees up a slot on your perk tree and gives users a great movement ability. The Graviton Forfeit is also fantastic for the PvE side of the game, as Shadestep can be a life saver if you need to dodge incoming enemy fire. If you don’t have one we recommend picking this up.

Nothing Manacles:

  • Roll: Discipline/Strength
  • Armor: Gauntlets
  • Cost: 13 Strange Coins
  • Unique Perk: Enables tracking on Scatter Grenades and will give you an addition Scatter Grenade.

This one is for all the Voidwalkers out there looking to do some serious damage in both PvE and PvP. The Nothing Manacles are a great pick-up for anyone looking to focus their build around grenades. If you can max your Discipline out, then this will compliment your build nicely and almost always ensure you have grenades to use. Plus the roll itself is quite solid and can act as the final piece to a grenade build.

Universal Remote:

  • Primary Weapon: Shotgun
  • Cost: 13 Strange Coins
  • Unique Perk: Not only can you use this shotgun as a primary weapon but the accuracy and precision are greatly increased when aiming down the sights.

The Universal Remote is the bane of any PvP player right now and currently one of the most powerful weapons available. Not only does this shotgun have impressive range, but the Impact is high enough that it can allow users to finish off foes with a quick melee. This weapon has been seen all over Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner, so make sure to acquire one if you’re a close quarters fan.

This weekends inventory is a fantastic selection for anyone who’s looking to pick up some exotics for the PvP side of Destiny. If none of these items suit you, consider just buying a few packs of Three of Coins so you can get some exotic drops. Make sure to check back next week to see what Xur has brought to The Tower.
