Meleemancer Build For ‘Diablo 3’s’ Necromancer Shown

Diablo 3, Necromancer

Diablo 3 is releasing the necromancer class later this year and showed us some of its skills yesterday. The particular build we were shown is called the meleemancer and like its name, it will rely on close quarters action.

Blizzard, Diablo 3

Raise Golem skill (Blizzard)

Skills that were shown off include grim scythe, death nova, devour, leech and raise golem. Raising the blood golem brings back fond memories of the Diablo 2 days with the necromancer class and it appears to look like Blizzard is bringing those skills with them to Diablo 3. A full list of the skills and their descriptions can be found on Blizzard’s blog post about the necromancer class.

The necromancer will be available in the Playable Test Realm before it is officially released but Blizzard said it will be a little different from other PTRs. Purchasing the necromancer will give players the class, an in-game pet, cosmetic wings, two additional character slots, two additional stash tabs, a portrait frame, pennant, banner and a banner sigil. The two additional stash tabs are PC exclusive.

The necromancer pack will launch with a free update to Diablo 3 that include two new zones, challenge rifts and more, Blizzard says. These features will be available for both PC and console players.

A price for the new class has not been announced and Blizzard is aiming for the second half of 2017 for a release date.
