‘NBA Playgrounds’ Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch

NBA Playgrounds

Although we get the yearly release of the great NBA 2K series, we haven’t really had a good arcade option in a long time. Gone are the days of NBA Jam, NFL Street, NFL Blitz, NHL Hits, etc. and instead we only get the simulation experience for most sports. All of that is changing in May with the release of NBA Playgrounds.

IGN reported the game features every NBA team and has “hundreds of over-the-top dunks and moves to go along with its arcade style of play. The trailer shows us the game will feature both past players such as Shaq, Allen Iverson and Patrick Ewing along with current stars like LeBron, Dirk, and James Harden. Mysteriously, George Hill is seen in the trailer. Gameplay will feature a 2-on-2 basketball game, much like the NBA Jam games, and have all kinds of over-the-top moves and shots.

You can check out the official trailer right here. The game releases next month for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4 for $20.
