Have you gotten a really nice Play of the Game recently and thought to yourself (or out loud) that you wanted a way to save it? In the near future, you’ll be able to do just that.

As with much of the Overwatch news we gather these days, this one came from the Blizzard forums where the question about when the ability to save highlights is coming. Overwatch’s Game Director Jeff Kaplan responded saying the feature has been getting worked on for months.

This is the current focus of the feature team (one of the smaller development strike teams on the Overwatch team). The team is working extremely hard on this and has been for months. Expect more details early this summer.

This will be a great quality of life change when it hits. If you are a console player, the Xbox One has the option to take clips of gameplay but that particular feature is not available on PS4 or PC. This will make it easy to quickly save your clips and upload them where you’d like.

Jeff Kaplan has been the bringer of good news lately when it comes to Overwatch. Kaplan also confirmed the next major patch for Overwatch will bring new emotes to Sombra, since she hasn’t a received a single new emote since the launch of the game. He also confirmed last month that Blizzard was working on six new maps for the game, including three of them set to come this year.

As part of the ongoing Nexus Challenge 2.0 for Heroes of the Storm, players are treated to new Genji and D.Va skins for Overwatch. Kaplan confirmed these skins will be coming to normal loot boxes in the future to compensate for those who aren’t able to play Heroes of the Storm.

In more news, we’ve learned that starting May 1, China was required to start listing the odds of getting epic and legendary quality items in loot crates. We looked at the probabilities of Overwatch along with Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone. Our findings have shown Overwatch hands out legendaries at the most generous rates but is the stingiest when it comes to epic items. These drop rates are only available for China so it’s unclear if the numbers differ in other parts of the world.
