A new event is about to begin in Pokemon Go.
Niantic Labs announced on Thursday that a grass event will soon commence in Pokemon Go. During this special event, grass-type Pokemon will spawn at a higher frequency than usual.
In addition, Lure Modules during this event will last for six hours, longer than they normally do.
The Pokemon Go grass event will begin in the afternoon on Friday, May 5th. Niantic has not provided any information about exactly what time the event will begin, but in the past, events have usually started at about 1:00 p.m. PDT.
The event will last through the weekend, concluding on Monday, May 8th. Niantic says that the spawns will go back to normal on May 8th, and so presumably the event will end at midnight PDT.
This is another event in the free-to-play mobile game, and the first since the Easter spectacular that took place in mid-April.
