During your journey through Talos I in Prey you will eventually come across the Trauma Center which houses a trapped scientist in the Quarantine Room. However, this door is locked and will require that you either hack the door or open it via the passcode. To start, head up to the lobby’s third floor and into the Executive Offices on the right side of the map. Once you are inside, enter the first office by the door and grab the Trauma Center keycard off the desk. Head back downstairs to the second floor and enter the Trauma Center, but be careful because two Phantoms patrol this area.
These foes are very dangerous, especially early on, so consider bring a turret or two with you for distraction purposes. Once they’ve been killed enter Mathias Kohl’s office on your left and then go to the computer in the back. Open the emails and scroll down to the one labeled “Quarantine Subject” to obtain the code. Then go the room in the back left, approach the keypad, and enter the code to unlock the door. (The numbers are randomized so it will never be the same.) Trevor Young will be hostile so do the humane thing and put him out of his misery. On the left-hand wall you will see the last name “Devries” carved into the padding along with a number, so make a mental note of this room for later.
Remember to always check and read emails in Prey, because the codes to rooms or treasure are usually hidden somewhere around you. It pays to explore in this game so it helps to have a keen eye when you are playing.
