Video Game New Releases in June 2017: Five Games to Look Out For

While video game new releases in June 2017 are somewhat light as people gear up for E3, you’ll still have much to look forward to especially if you’re a fighting or RPG game fan. A certain animal mascot is also making a grand return.

Here are five video game new releases you should look out for in June 2017.

Tekken 7 (PS4, XBO, PC) – June 2

The seventh entry in the long-running Tekken fighting game series concludes the feud between the members of the Mishima Clan. Players will be able to charge seamlessly from cutscenes to fights and choose their playable character beforehand. New mechanics including rage mode, rage drive, and rage arts add to fights with the ability to deal more damage to fighters. There are of course a bunch of new fighters including Akuma of Street Fighter fame.

ARMS has combatants attacking each other with long range punches. The cast of quirky, long-armed characters wield a variety of fists for thousands of different combinations and abilities. Multiple kinds of game modes are on offer including a campaign mode, ranked online battles, local multiplayer, and even volleyball and basketball matches. Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood (PS4, PC, Mac) – June 20

With every great MMORPG comes an expansion. The Stormblood expansion for Final Fantasy XIV offers new dungeons, a new 8-man raid, a new alliance raid, new gear and crafting recipes, and two new jobs – red mage and samurai. Gameplay is seeing some improvements with changes to the battle system, an expanded item inventory, and a level cap increase from 60 to 70. You can also explore new areas like the Far Eastern city of Kugane and the Ruby Sea, and explore those areas with swimming and diving.

Ever Oasis (3DS) – June 23

A new action-rpg from Developer Grezzo, known for many of the 3DS Zelda games, is coming to the 3DS. Ever Oasis has you creating your own oasis and growing it by completing quests, recruiting allies with different skills to level up, and building shops. You also fight monsters in the desert and in dungeons in real-time battles.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (PS4) – June 30

The famous trilogy of Crash Bandicoot games are being remastered from the ground up in one package. The remaster’s improvements include new, 4K visuals and remastered music, as well as gameplay tweaks like unified checkpoints, manual/automatic saving, time trials for all three games, and pause menus.
