‘Diablo 3’ Necromancer Release Date Officially Announced

Diablo 3, Necromancer

Blizzard has finally announced the release date for the Necromancer Pack for Diablo 3. After waiting for what felt like forever, we finally have a concrete price and release date for the new pack.

Season 10 ends June 23 and the Necromancer Pack comes out June 27 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC players. The pack will cost players $14.99 but it will come with more than just the new class. Here’s everything you will get with your purchase:

  • Non-combat pet
  • A pair of cosmetic wings
  • New Necromancer-themed Banner Shape, Sigil, and Accent
  • Necromancer Portrait Frame
  • Pennant
  • Two additional character slots
  • Two additional stash tabs (not on consoles)

In order to play the new class, you will need to update your game to Patch 2.6.0, which comes with a lot of new content, including Challenge Rifts, The Shrouded Moors zone, Temple of the Fistborn zone and the Realm of Fates. Everything in the patch will be included free of charge.

If you’re on console, you can choose to download the Necromancer Pack through either the Xbox Live or PSN Store, or you can opt to pick up Diablo 3: Eternal Collection, which will include all the content in the game up to this point, for $39.99 as a special introductory price. The Eternal Collection is only available on consoles.

Our recent speculation on when the Necromancer Pack would come out ended up being pretty accurate, although pretty much anyone could’ve guessed the time. The Necromancer will be released long enough for players to get a taste of how it works before Season 11 starts up, which will happen on July 20. This gives players almost a whole month to find out everything the Necromancer has to offer.

The Necromancer Pack will mark the first time Diablo 3 players have had to buy anything in-game with actual money outside of expansion packs. Most other Blizzard games are monetized through Loot Crates and purchasable skins.
