Four New Free Pokemon Sun & Moon Mega Stones Now Available

Pokemon Sun and Moon

If you’re still an avid player of Pokemon Sun and Moon, you might be happy to hear that four new Mega Stones are now available for the game. You get these stones in the same way you’ve gotten them in the past through the Mystery Gift option. If you need a refresher on how to do this, we’ve included the steps in the bottom of the post.

These four new stones will be used to Mega Evolve four different Pokemon found in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Those four Pokemon this time around are Gardevoir, Gallade, Lopuny and Diancie. None of these Pokemon are available in the wild this generation so this event is currently the only way to get them outside of trading.

There’s still time to pick up the rare legendary Pokemon Tapu Koko through the Mystery Gift as well. That event runs until August 14 so you’ll need to hurry if you have plans on picking up this Pokemon. Nintendo hasn’t given an end date for this Mega Stone event so you don’t have to worry about picking up these stones right away.

Here are the steps you’ll have to take to pick up your four free Mega Stones:

  • Select Mystery Gift on the main menu
  • Select Receive Gift
  • Select Get with Code/Password, then Yes, and then Yes again to connect to the Internet.
  • Enter your password (POYONG)
  • Watch as you receive the Mega Stones.
  • Speak to the deliveryman in any Pokemon Center to pick up the Mega Stones.
  • Be sure to save your game.

The most recent selection of Mega Stones given away included stones used to Mega Evolve Tyranitar, Abomasnow, Manectric and Aggron.

In case you missed it, Nintendo and Game Freak recently unveiled one of the new Pokemon found in Ultra Sun and Moon. The new Pokemon is Dusk Form Lycanroc which is a new form of Lycanroc found in the original Sun and Moon games.
