Fire Emblem Warriors: Amiibo Functionality

Fire Emblem Warriors

Nintendo

Fire Emblem Warriors is the newest title to appear on the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS. However, this release will likely appeal more to Dynasty Warriors fans more than Fire Emblem fans. Although we are seeing a load of fan service in the form of Fire Emblem characters from the past, that’s just about where the comparisons to traditional Fire Emblem titles end.

The Warriors hack-and-slash gameplay takes a Fire Emblem twist and that may represent too much of a drastic change to bring in long-time Fire Emblem fans. If you end up giving the game a chance you’ll find a lot more than what meets the eye. The gameplay is surprisingly deep for being a hack-and-slash and you’ll find the familiar weapon triangle making its way over to the game as well.

Fire Emblem Warriors

With this being a title on both the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS, it should come as no surprise that it features amiibo functionality. There are also a variety of Fire Emblem amiibo available at your disposal that you can use with this title. By tapping an amiibo figure in Fire Emblem Warriors you will be able to get new weapons, materials and gold each day. You can use each amiibo once per day with up to five per day so if you have all of the Fire Emblem amiibo, you’re only limited to five per day.

To use the amiibo in-game, head to the Extras tab on the Main Menu and click on Presents. You will be prompted to tap an amiibo and the rest is self explanatory.

Here is the list of compatible Fire Emblem amiibo:

  • Alm
  • Celica
  • Corrin
  • Corrin – Player 2
  • Ike
  • Lucina
  • Marth
  • Robin
  • Roy
  • Chrom
  • Tiki
  • Marth

Although these amiibo don’t do a whole lot in-game, there still are some of the coolest looking amiibo Nintendo has released so far so they are worth it if you’re a fan of Fire Emblem.

Fire Emblem Warriors is out now on the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS.
