Fortnite: Battle Royale: When Will The Halloween Event End?

If you’re a fan of Fortnite: Battle Royale, surely you’ve seen the clip of a player riding the pumpkin rocket by now. If you haven’t, then we’ve included in the post a little below this. This rocket surfing technique wouldn’t be nearly as cool without the pumpkin rocket.

For those of you who pay close attention to the calendar may notice that it is well into November. Halloween was over in October so why is the Halloween event still here? It turns out that the event will be going even further into November and almost reach December. It feels a bit weird to have a Halloween event going on when it goes past Thanksgiving and there’s a chance snow will be on the ground by then, but it is what it is.

The Halloween event, and the pumpkin rockets, will remain in effect until November 29. Unfortunately, the skeleton and ghoul skins have already left the store so it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to get those skins any time soon.

Now back to the subject of the pumpkin surfing. It turns out that there is a way to ride a rocket if it is strategically under you and you step on top of it as it shoots by you. From there, it’s even possible to snipe a few players if you’re feeling skilled and lucky enough.

It remains to be seen if the same thing can be done with the regular rockets but we won’t be able to find that out until later this month. In fact, we hardly remember what the regular rockets look like. It’d be cool to see the pumpkin rocket remain for the long haul but that probably isn’t likely.

You can check out one of the many clips showcasing the rocket riding below.

The update that introduced this Halloween event also added a lot of new features into the game. We saw the addition of leaderboards, Seasons and the microtransaction shop as well. V-bucks were introduced into the game as the new type of currency that is used to buy new skins and cosmetics for your character. You can get these V-bucks by purchasing them or completing quests in the PvE version of Fortnite.

Players will have the option of selecting between skins for their glider, harvesting tool and their outfit. None of the skins will have any effect on the game but you will look a bit cooler than everyone else. It appears that whatever character is wearing the skin when you purchase it will become your character every game. It’s not quite changing your characters but it’s getting closer.

A new healing item rolled out with this patch as well called the Slurp Juice. This new consumable will allow players to regenerate health and shield at one point per second over 25 seconds. You will also be able to stack up to two of these. It’s worth noting that one of these will heal you from 75 health to 100.
