Injustice 2 has gone above and beyond with its introduction of DLC roster members.
Ever since DC’s premiere fighter launched earlier this year, NetherRealm Studios has added Black Manta, Hellboy, Raiden, Red Hood, Starfire and Sub-Zero. As expected, Fighter Pack #3’s coming packaged with three new characters – The Atom, Enchantress and (we still can’t believe this one…) the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And as always, the developers behind Injustice 2 will be on hand to show off one of these new characters today during a brand new Watchtower live stream. The Atom (who can be seen doing some damage in the character trailer posted below) has the ability to shrink himself to a bigger/smaller scale at will.
If you obtained Injustice 2’s Ultimate Edition or Fighter Pack #3, then you’ll get early access to The Atom on Tuesday, December 12. As for everyone else, you should expect to get him added to your roster on Tuesday, December 19.
Physics prodigy Ryan Choi took on the mantle of the Atom when his mentor — and original Atom — Ray Palmer mysteriously disappeared. Now armed with quantum shrinking technology, Ryan will use the subatomic power of the quantum bio-belt to seek out his lost friend and further the fight for justice.
The next two characters in the the third fighter pack should be coming sometime in January (Enchantress) and February (the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Enchantress should be familiar to those who saw the Suicide Squad film. And everyone and their grandmother should know about Master Splinter’s group of elite crime-fighting turtles. By the end of Injustice 2’s DLC character run, this game should be regarded as one of the greatest fighting games with the most hype-inducing roster.
