Bellator Reveals Venue for Upcoming Premiere

Bellator Fighting Championships today announced that they’ll return to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. for the premieres of Bellator’s upcoming Seasons 2 and 3. In addition, the venue will host the finale event for each season.

The season premiere and finale of Bellator’s first season were hosted at the Hard Rock last year.

Tickets for the Season 2 premiere, which takes place April 8, will go on sale February 5, 2010 and will be available at all Ticketmaster locations in addition to Both seasons will air live on Fox Sports Net affiliates, with special weekend highlight shows airing on NBC and Telemundo.

“We are thrilled to be returning to the Seminole Hard Rock during our second and third seasons,” said Bellator CEO Bjor Rebney. “As we discovered during our inaugural season, the Hard Rock Live is one of the finest, most state-of-the-art venues for MMA, and the fan response was spectacular. We’re looking forward to bringing four world-class MMA events to South Florida and some of the country’s most devoted and die-hard MMA fans.”

Bellator will bring back the tournament format from season one as a major focus for the upcoming season, but the tournament winners won’t receive championship belts. Instead, they’ll face the champions who were victories in season 1 tournaments.
