Huerta, the first MMA fighter to ever grace the cover of Sports Illustrated, recently secured his release from the UFC. He negotiated with Strikeforce in recent months but was unable to come to a deal with the San Jose-based promotion.
Bellator’s second season begins April 8 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. It will air on all Fox Sports Net affiliates, and replays will air on NBC and Telemundo.
