World Extreme Cagefighting exploded onto the pay-per-view scene last weekend with the highly entertaining “Aldo vs. Faber”, and the salaries for the 22 fighters involved in the successful evening are now available, according to MMAjunkie.com.
Leading the pack, unsurprisingly, is the WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo with a $40,000 payout. Aldo’s victim, former-featherweight champion Urijah Faber, walked away with a nice total of $28,000.
In the co-main event of the evening, Benson Henderson submitted Donald Cerrone to defend his lightweight title, along with picking up $26,000 for his efforts. Cerrone walked away with $14,000 for his troubles, but no belt.
The grand total of the WEC 48 fighter salaries came in at a sweet $336,500. The full list of fighter earnings can be found below.
