“The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale” is quickly taking shape. Hours after announcing Keith Jardine vs. Matt Hamill as the card’s main event, MMAjunkie.com has confirmed that Charles Oliveira and Darren Elkins will meet on the evening’s preliminary card.
The bout will be Oliveira’s debut with the promotion after composing a 12-0 record as a professional mixed martial artist. Since beginning his career in 2008, he has been on an absolute rampage as a lightweight, winning six fights via knockout, five via submission, and only going to the judges’ scorecards once.
Elkins began his career just one year earlier, in 2007, and has also compiled an impressive record. At 12-1 as a mixed martial artist, Elkins has five knockout, five submission, and two decision victories. His lone loss was a knockout just 13 seconds into the first round. However, one thing that separates Elkins from Oliveira is the fact that he has actually fought with the UFC before. The Indiana native made his debut last March with a victory over Duane Ludwig at “UFC on Versus 1”.
“The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale” is set for the Pearl at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Only two fights have been announced for the event, including the Jardine-Hamill main event. The main card will air live on Spike TV on June 19.
