FEG Producer Keniichi Sasahara announced on Tuesday that DREAM will bring back the white cage for DREAM 14. Sasahara also announced that instead of the traditional 10-minute first round followed by a 5-minute second round, that they will utilize three 5-minute rounds.
DREAM 14 will take place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan and will be headlined by current Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz against the Japanese legend Hayato “Mach” Sakurai in a non-title bout. There is also talks of a DREAM Light Heavyweight Grand Prix, however nothing has been made official at this time.
Dream’s white cage was first utilized back at DREAM 12 in October of last year and proved to keep things in the Japanese world of Mixed Martial Arts interesting.
