The Tennessee Athletic Commission will soon begin a formal investigation into the ugly post-fight brawl that marred Saturday evening’s “Strikeforce on CBS” broadcast.
Commission director Jeffrey Mullen spoke to MMA Junkie regarding the incident and the impending investigation this morning, but declined to comment until the investigation has been completed.
The investigation will likely lead to disciplinary action for the fighters and corner men involved. The commission will investigate where to place blame for the beginning of the brawl, and will also examine the policies that allowed so many cornermen into the cage after the fight concluded.
