Three Fights Added To TUF 11 Finale

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has been busy since announcing Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill as the headliners for the finale of “The Ultimate Fighter”, as three more fights have been officially added to the June card.

The first of the announced match-ups is a middleweight battle between undefeated Aaron Simpson and troubled fan favorite Chris Leben. Simpson is rolling off a brawl against Tom Lawlor at Ultimate Fight Night 20. He took a close spilt-decision victory after being battered in the very first round. Leben was also last seen in the cage at UFN 20, where he smothered Jay Silva en route to a unanimous decision on the evening’s undercard.

Also announced today, Spencer Fisher and Dennis Siver will meet in a lightweight bout with each man looking to get back on the right track. Siver’s last outing ended with his opponent’s hand being raised, as he lost the three round fight to “The Ultimate Fighter Season 9” winner Ross Pearson. But Fisher is also coming off a devastating loss. At UFC 104, Joe Stevenson pummeled “The King” for one round, then forced Fisher to tap due to strikes in the second.

In the final of the three fights that have been made official today, Travis Browne will meet “The Ultimate Fighter 10” alum James McSweeney in a heavyweight match up. McSweeney had quite the big mouth on the reality series, but the Team Rashad member backed it up with a technical knockout victory over Darrill Schoonover at “The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale”. Unlike McSweeney, Browne has no experience inside the promotion, but holds a 9-0 professional record and recently disposed of TUF 10 alum Abe Wagner eight seconds into the first round earlier this year.

The finale to the current season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, the reality series’ eleventh installment, is set for The Pearl at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 19. The card will be headlined with a light heavyweight fight between Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill.
