“Strikeforce: Los Angeles” is set for June 16, but before the fighters enter the cage, all 12 competitors will hit the scales at the Crowne Plaza in Los Angeles, California.
Heavy.com will be live at the weigh-ins, bring up-to-the-minute results from the event. The weigh-ins will begin at 8 p.m. ET/ 5p.m. PT, but will not be streamed online. Fighters hitting the scale include main event participants Robbie Lawler and Renato “Babalu” Sobral, as well as K.J. Noons, Tim Kennedy, and Trevor Prangley. The main event of the evening, though at a 195-pound catchweight, has guaranteed title implications according to the promotion’s CEO Scott Coker.
The Los Angeles event takes place Wednesday night at the Nokia Theatre in L.A., as well as being broadcast on the Showtime network. The mid-week event is a result of the promotion coinciding its festivities with the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Be sure to stick with Heavy MMA tonight for live results from the weigh-ins, and join us again tomorrow night for live results from both the preliminary card and televised card for “Strikeforce: Los Angeles”.
