A press conference for “Strikeforce: Houston” will be held next week at the Toyota Center in Houston.
The Aug. 21 show, first reported by HeavyMMA.com, is expected to be headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal and Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante. Tickets will go on sale to the public next Friday, but “Strikeforce Insider” newsletter subscribers will get a crack at tickets 24 hours earlier.
The event will be the second major MMA show held at the Toyota Center. UFC 69, featuring Georges St. Pierre defending his welterweight championship against Matt Serra, also took place at the venue. Serra shooked St. Pierre and the world in one of the biggest upsets in MMA history.
