Strikeforce confirmed the bout with Heavy.com on Tuesday morning.
The event takes place Dec. 4 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The Lawler/Lindland bout will be included on the Showtime-televised main card.
Lawler (19-6) is 1-2 in his last three bouts. He suffered a submission loss to Jake Shields in his Strikeforce debut in June 2009. Lawler rebounded with a victory over Melvin Manhoef in January, but lost a unanimous decision to Renato Sobral this summer.
Lindland is also 1-2 in his last three bouts. After suffering losses to Vitor Belfort and Ronaldo Souza, Lindland rebounded with a win over Kevin Casey at Strikeforce Challengers 8.
