Brock Lesnar, Junior Dos Santos To Coach Ultimate Fighter 13

UFC heavyweight star Lesnar coaches opposite Dos Santos

The upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter is getting a serious boost in the power department: heavyweights Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos will serve as coaches for opposing teams of welterweights.

UFC President Dana White made the announcement on Tuesday during a media conference call.

“We were working on this thing for such a long time. So many things happened with the injuries to Velasquez and more,” White said. “And now Dos Santos is waiting on his title shot, so it made all the sense in the world to do this once we knew how long Cain was going to be out.”

White said he liked all the rumors going around about Lesnar’s lack of desire for the fight business after his loss to Velasquez.

“It’s very rare in this sport that we get to announce stuff before it gets announced. I liked all the rumors that were going around, about how Brock wanted to be a WWE wrestler and whatnot,” White said. “And none of those things were true. I was in communication with Brock and his team the whole time.”
