Ryan Couture remains undefeated.

Ryan Couture, son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy “The Natural” Couture, moved to 2-0 on Friday at “ShoMMA 14: Beerbohm vs. Healy.”

Couture showed improved striking and put in a dominating performance over Lee Higgins at the Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, Texas.

Couture was able to utilize superior grappling to put Higgins in bad positions throughout the fight. His evolving stand up showing when he dropped Higgins in the second round.

“I had a hard time finding him with my hands, but when the right hand did connect it worked, so it was good. It was good for me to get in there and use that for a while,” said Couture following the fight.

We saw a little bit of everything out of Couture. He was able to end the fight via a rear naked choke submission in the closing seconds of the fight.

“(He was) tough as nails,” said Couture. “I’m real glad I was finally able to get him there at the end.”

“I just want to continue to get more comfortable in there. I think my skills held up pretty well to what they do in the gym. Obviously I want to keep improving that, but just want to continue to improve that comfort level, “ added Couture.

“I think getting fifteen minutes in here tonight certainly helps.”
