Meanwhile, Saffiedine will enter this bout coming off a loss of his own. He was defeated by fast-rising prospect Tyron Woodley last January, losing via unanimous decision in the Strikeforce Challengers main event. Prior to the fight, Saffiedine had won three straight contests.
The bout could potentially end up on the same card as a superfight between Dan Henderson and Fedor Emelianenko, which will take place this July in Southern California.
