UFC 134 Prelim Special draws 1.3 million viewers
The UFC 134 preliminary card special on Spike TV drew 1.3 million viewers last Saturday.
The hour-long special featured Thiago Tavares‘ technical knockout win over Spencer Fisher and Rousimar Palhares‘ one-sided unanimous decision win over Dan Miller. Palhares’ performance was most intriguing, due to his poor decision making, which included his premature celebration in the first round when the fight had not yet been stopped.
Failing to break into the top ten for most viewers in the history of the preliminary special, the two fights drew 700,000 less viewers than UFC 126, which drew an impressive 2 million.
UFC 134 took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this past Saturday and, following the entertaining preliminary card, Anderson Silva earned an impressive technical knockout win over Yushin Okami in the evening’s main event. Also on the card, Forrest Griffin was decimated by Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in the co-main event.
