Noons, Evangelista try to get back on track
A lightweight bout between K.J. Noons and Billy Evangelista is official for “Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal.”
The event takes place Dec. 17 at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego and is headlined by a Strikeforce lightweight title fight between Gilbert Melendez and Jorge Masvidal.
Noons last competed at “Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum,” losing to Masvidal by decision. It was his second consecutive loss in a row after losing to Nick Diaz last October.
Evangelista also lost to Masvidal in his last bout at “Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson” in march.
