FUEL TV has record-breaking month of February, UFC programming paying off

FUEL TV continues to reap the benefits of the channel’s UFC programming.

In the month of February, the network broadcast three live UFC weigh-in shows, three live post-event shows, and launched “UFC Ultimate Insider,” a weekly news magazine show. In total, over 233 hours of UFC programming was aired on FUEL TV last month alone.

And the many hours focused on the biggest promotion in the sport of mixed martial arts has paid dividends. February did not only become the networks most-watched month in its history, but the live broadcast of “UFC on FUEL TV 1” became the most-watched program in the network’s history. The event, which featured Jake Ellenberger‘s dominant win over Diego Sanchez, earned 217,000 viewers, helping make February 15 the most-watched day in FUEL TV history.

The success of the UFC on FUEL TV comes about through the network’s desire to implement as much UFC programming as possible. In 2012, FUEL TV will dedicate 2,000 hours of programming to the promotion. Considering the early success, the network’s plan appears to be living up to expectations.
