Philips Arena hosts Saturday pay-per-view card

ATLANTA – UFC 145 is officially a sell out.

The UFC on Friday night announced the highly anticipated pay-per-view event had sold out. The card is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and Rashad Evans, his former friend and training partner.

On Friday, the official weigh-in event between Jones and Evans got heated and the two had to be separated. Jones and Evans are former friends and training partners in New Mexico at the Greg Jackson camp, and their split has created one of the most bitter feuds in UFC history.

UFC 145 features a six-fight main pay-per-view card and six fights on the preliminary card. The first two fights of the show stream live on the UFC’s Facebook page at 7 p.m. Eastern. The next four will air live on the FX cable network at 8 p.m., leading into the pay-per-view at 10.

Aside from Jones-Evans, the main card at UFC 145 features a co-main event between Rory MacDonald and Che Mills, a heavyweight bout between Ben Rothwell and Brendan Schaub and a bantamweight contenders fight between Miguel Torres and Michael McDonald. The main card also features Mark Hominick and Mark Bocek.

The UFC last held a show in Atlanta in September 2008. At UFC 88, Evans knocked out Chuck Liddell in the main event to earn a shot at the 205-pound title, which he went on to win against Forrest Griffin at UFC 92.
