Browne, Silva meet this October
A heavyweight tilt between Travis Browne and Antonio Silva will serve as the main event of “UFC on FX 5.”
USA Today Sports reported the news today.
Browne was originally set to compete on the main card of “UFC on FOX 4” on August 4, but an injury to his opponent Ben Rothwell caused the cancellation of the fight.
Meanwhile, Silva last fought at UFC 146, losing to Cain Velasquez via first round stoppage. The contest was his first in the UFC after a lengthy stint in Strikeforce.
“UFC on FX 5” takes place on October 5. The event is expected to take place in Minnesota.
