Tavares, Hallman officially meet at UFC 150
A lightweight contest between Dennis Hallman and Thiago Tavares officially has found a home.
Reports surfaced that the bout would take place on the September 1 card, UFC 151, but the promotion announced today that it will, in fact, take place at UFC 150.
UFC 150 is set for Denver, Colorado on August 11, featuring a lightweight title fight rematch between champion Ben Henderson and former champion Frankie Edgar.
The lightweight contest between Tavares and Hallman will take place on the preliminary card.
Hallman last fought at UFC 140, defeating John Makdessi via submission. Prior to that win, he lost to Brian Ebersole via technical knockout at UFC 133.
Meanwhile, Tavares is on a two-fight winning streak, having defeated Spencer Fisher and Sam Stout.
